Last month, Microsoft has launched a really useful health portal named as HealthVault.  At a first glance, this esrvice looks like a combination of  WebMD and Life Record and the purpose of this health portal is to provide you repository service, where you can store and share your health records. This is one of the few occurances, where Google has been outpaced. Google is understood to be developing its own health portal with the name Google Health.

Microsoft has teamed up with partners like American Heart Association and Mayo Clinic to launch this portal. Here you can search for the information related to your health. The revenue is expected to be generated from the sponsors as well as sarch related queries. The search results are expected to be delivered from these institutions, Wikipedia, the web, and sponsors.

Microsoft is also approaching various medical institutes and professionals, which are being requested to use this health portal for uploading and storing the critical health related records for their patients.
