What is OSGuard Pro

OSGuard Pro is a scam. It is a scareware, which is designed just to take your money and scam you in the name of providing security to your computer.

OSGuard Pro is in fact a browser hijacker, which pretends to be associated with the brand name of Microsoft to gain the credibility. In fact this browser hijacker makes changes to your hosts file and makes an entry into it related to IP address 91.212.127.226. The result is that the victim’s browser shows the URL osguardpro.microsoft.com in the address bar, while the browser actually points to the given IP address, which has nothing to do with Microsoft.

In fact, this IP address is home to a known rogue Antivirus System Pro. We have already mentioned in an earlier post, how to remove Antivirus System Pro.
