Internet Security Blog: It is our constant endeavor and the very purpose to discover some excellent Free Internet Security Tools, which can do their bit in enhancing your Internet Security.
In this context, we just discovered a neat little Firefox Plugin, LinkExtend, which gives a lot of security related information about a particular website. This is nicely organized in the form on different buttons on a toolbar, which you can click and see more information.
This plugin also works with the search engine results. LinkExtend provides tiny buttons in front of different search results, which give valuable information about the differetn aspects of the website like Security, Kid Safe or Ethics.
If you are fond of working with the right click contextual menu, then you will love this litle gem. As soon as you install LinkExtend, it adds some quick entries in it, which you can use to get any information about a particular website. But, I personally find it a bit cluttering my right click menu. So, I will avoid it.
The best aspect about LinkExtend is its ability to decide about a website based upon the advice from different sources like Web of Trust, McAfee SiteAdvisor, and Google Safe Browsing, among others. It combines the information from these websites and then generates its advice.
Overall, a nice tool for your Firefox, if you are really concerned about your Internet Security.
