I’ve only really used offline anti-virus. I have tried an online when the person I was helping didn’t have offline and it seemed to work, but something (probably something stupid) deep inside said I need to make sure.

I like the clamAV boot ISO when things go bad. But this as a backup if it’s the only option should be pretty good. Thanks for the resource, not just listing one but really doing the research and getting the full list.

These online antivrus program are very useful when your system was infected and you cannot install antivirus programs anymore or you are a lazy guy who dont want to lose time installing software.

I use Symantec Antivirus at work and I really like the way how it pretty much traps all the virus. I’m not sure whether the free version of the Symantec mentioned in this post has any limitation or not.

BitDefender is my fav right now. It works well with Vista.
