Disabling service may benefit a system with very limited RAM. But on a modern system it will gain you little if anything. Disabling services can cause serious problems. Do not rely on the descriptions provided in control panel as they are not complete. You may lose important functionality. If not now, maybe 6 months later when you install a new application or device that relies on the service.

Do you have any metrics to show what increase in speed you had disabling these services? I don't know if they're all just idle. I'm sure if you're running on 256MB RAM that it would help, but 1GB up? I don't know.
