Secunia PSI is a FREE download [about 500kb] from the trusted vendor Secunia, which does an excellent job here. It scans your complete system and reports all the applications, which are old and for which a free upgrade is available in the market.

It also assess the threat level associated with the old application and gives your system an overall score based upon the nature and numbers of vulnerabilities found on your system.

What’s more, Secunia PSI also gives you the direct links to upgrade your application.

Here is a screenshot, which I get after running Secunia PSI on my system. I was quick to download patches for all these vulnerabilities in order to secure my computer and tighten my Internet Security.
